Business Information
Who we are legally, what the company actually does for a living, and how to reach the people behind the research — in New Jersey and in Innsbruck.
This page gathers in one place the company details that are otherwise scattered across the footer, the About page, and the legal notices. If you're checking who stands behind this website before buying a guide, verifying a business identity for your records, or simply curious about the structure of the operation, this is the page to read. We've tried to make it complete enough to satisfy a careful reader without drowning anyone in corporate formalities.
The companies
Tyrol Crest Estates LLC
Tyrol Crest Estates LLC is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA. The company is registered in the New Jersey Business Registry, the state's public record of business entities, where its formation and standing can be verified by anyone who cares to look. The principal office is at 180 Morgan Street, Suite 1000, Jersey City, NJ 07302, USA. The LLC is the entity that operates this website, holds the copyright in the site's content, sells the digital investment guides, processes reader correspondence in English, and contracts with the payment processor that handles guide purchases. When you buy a guide or write to the main research address, Tyrol Crest Estates LLC is the company on the other side of the transaction.
Why New Jersey? Practicality. The company's publishing operations — writing, editing, web infrastructure, payments, accounting — run out of the Jersey City office, and the managing partner divides his time between there and Innsbruck. A US limited liability company gives the publishing business a simple, well-understood legal form with a public registry record, in the state where the principal office actually sits.
Tyrol Crest Estates GmbH
Tyrol Crest Estates GmbH is an Austrian limited liability company — a Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung, the standard Austrian form for a closely held company — with its registered seat at Maria-Theresien-Straße 18, 6020 Innsbruck, Austria. The GmbH is the company's presence on the ground in the Tirol: it handles German-language correspondence, maintains the local relationships with statistics offices, tourism boards, and market participants that keep our research current, and hosts meetings with readers and sources who happen to be in the Alps. Austrian company law requires GmbHs to appear in the Firmenbuch, Austria's public commercial register, and the company is recorded there in the ordinary way.
The two entities work as one research operation. The GmbH gathers and verifies market material in Austria; the LLC publishes it in English to an international readership. Contracts, editorial decisions, and this website sit with the LLC, which is why the Site Terms specify New Jersey governing law for disputes about the site and guide sales.
Management
The managing partner of Tyrol Crest Estates is Hans Gruber. Hans splits his working year between the Jersey City office and Innsbruck, oversees the research program, and has final editorial responsibility for everything published on this site and in the guides. When you receive a substantive reply to a research question, there's a good chance he either wrote it or reviewed it. He can be reached through either office; for anything addressed to him personally, the Innsbruck email address is the most direct route during the European working day, and the Jersey City office during US hours.
What the company does
Tyrol Crest Estates is a research publisher focused on alpine property markets, and that description is worth unpacking because it's deliberately narrow.
We publish research. This website carries free educational pages on the markets we cover — Innsbruck and its valley, the Kitzbühel Alps, the Ötztal, and the Stubaital — along with cross-market material on acquisition costs, seasonal rental yields, and occupancy patterns. The research rests on cited public sources: official statistics, land-registry and listing data, and tourism board reporting, all listed on our Data Sources page and processed according to the approach set out on our Method Notes page.
We sell digital investment guides. For readers who want more depth than the free pages offer, we produce long-form market guides sold as digital downloads, priced between $39 and $79 depending on the market covered and the depth of the material. Each guide consolidates the relevant research into a single document with fuller data tables, cost worked examples, and seasonal analysis. Sales are handled by the LLC through a third-party payment processor, and purchases are covered by our Refund Policy.
That's the whole business model. There is no third line of business, and the points below matter as much as the two above.
We are not a brokerage. Tyrol Crest Estates holds no real estate brokerage license in any jurisdiction, lists no properties, represents no buyers or sellers, and takes no part in negotiating transactions. Nothing on this site is an offer of any specific property.
We do no property management. We don't manage rentals, handle guest turnover, maintain buildings, or act for owners in any operational capacity. If you buy a chalet in the Stubaital and want it managed through the ski season, you'll need a local property manager — and while our research can help you estimate what management typically costs, providing the service itself is not something we do.
We hold no client funds. There are no client accounts, no deposits, no escrow arrangements, and no pooled investments here. The only money that ever moves between you and us is the purchase price of a digital guide, collected at checkout by our payment processor. We never touch transaction funds for property deals, because we're never in property deals.
How we earn revenue
Transparency about incentives matters in investment-adjacent publishing, so here it is plainly: the company's revenue comes from sales of the digital guides. That's it. There is no advertising on this site, no sponsored content, no affiliate links, and no referral or commission arrangement with any broker, developer, agent, lender, or property manager. When our pages discuss a market, no one has paid us to discuss it; when they mention typical costs or yields, no one benefits from steering you toward a particular transaction. We think this is the only honest structure for research like ours. A publisher who earns commissions from the transactions it encourages has a conflict no disclaimer can cure, so we simply don't earn them. The practical consequence for you: if our research helps you decide a market isn't right for you, that's a fine outcome from our side — we lose nothing, because our revenue was never tied to you buying property.
How to reach us
Jersey City office (English)
Tyrol Crest Estates LLC
180 Morgan Street, Suite 1000
Jersey City, NJ 07302, USA
Telephone: +1 (201) 555-0148
Email: research@tyrol-crest-estates.com
The Jersey City office handles all English-language correspondence, guide purchase questions, refund requests, privacy and data requests, and anything concerning this website. Email is the most reliable channel — every message is read by a researcher rather than filtered through a support queue. Telephone hours follow US Eastern business hours, and voicemail is returned.
Innsbruck office (German and English)
Tyrol Crest Estates GmbH
Maria-Theresien-Straße 18
6020 Innsbruck, Austria
Telephone: +43 512 890 341
Email: innsbruck@tyrol-crest-estates.com
The Innsbruck office handles German-language inquiries, questions about the Austrian entity, and local research matters. You're welcome to write to Innsbruck in English as well — correspondence in either language reaches people who can answer it. Office hours follow Central European business hours.
Response times
We answer reader email within two business days under normal circumstances, and most messages get a reply sooner than that. Research questions that require pulling fresh data — a specific cost breakdown, an updated figure for a page mid-revision — can take a little longer, and we'll tell you when that's the case rather than leaving you wondering. Privacy requests are answered within 30 days at the outside, per our Privacy Policy, and refund requests are handled on the schedule set out in the Refund Policy. During the peak ski season, when the Innsbruck office is busiest with source meetings, German-language replies may occasionally run to three business days; if your matter is urgent, marking the subject line accordingly helps us prioritize honestly rather than performatively.
Languages
We work in English and German. All website content and the guides themselves are published in English, which is the language of most of our readership. German-language correspondence is welcome at both offices and is answered in German by the Innsbruck team. If you write in another language, we'll do our best — machine translation gets us surprisingly far with a market question — but we can't promise nuance beyond our two working languages, and for anything with legal or financial weight we'd encourage you to correspond in English or German so nothing important is lost.
Verifying who we are
Caution about who stands behind a website selling investment-related material is healthy, and we'd rather encourage it than be annoyed by it. If you want to verify the company before buying a guide: the LLC's registration is publicly searchable in the New Jersey Business Registry, and the GmbH appears in Austria's Firmenbuch commercial register. The addresses on this page match the footer of every page on the site, and both offices answer their phones and email. If anything you find in a public register ever seems to contradict what we say here, write to us and ask — a legitimate business can always explain its own paperwork.
Records, invoices, and corrections
Every guide purchase generates an emailed receipt from our payment processor, which serves as your proof of purchase for any refund request. If you need a formal invoice with the company's details for your own accounting, reply to your receipt or write to the research address and we'll issue one. On the editorial side, we keep a public Corrections page where substantive errors we discover — or readers point out — are logged with the date and nature of the fix. We mention it here because it's part of how this business holds itself accountable: a research publisher's registry entry tells you it exists, but its corrections log tells you whether it takes accuracy seriously. We'd rather be judged by the second.
A note on the name
Readers occasionally assume from the name that Tyrol Crest Estates owns a portfolio of alpine estates. It doesn't. The name reflects where our research lives — the crest of the Tirol — not a property inventory. We own no rental chalets, market no developments, and have no financial interest in the markets we write about beyond our interest in those markets being understood accurately. Our stake is in the quality of the research, and in the readers who come back for it.
Tyrol Crest Estates is not a real estate brokerage. This content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice.
